Liberty 70 Bottle (11A12)

This glass bottle was found on the wreck of the James Eagan Layne. The bottle is made of green tinted clear glass, is square in shape with straight sides and is marked 'HAUTHAWAYS, PEERLESS GLOSS, Made in USA'. The bottle once contained shoe polish.

Hauthaway and Son was formed by Charles L. Hauthaway in 1852 as a manufacturer of protective coatings for shoes.
