Spur (10A15)

This spur was recovered from the Coronation (1691) site off Penlee Point.

A spur is a metal tool designed to be worn in pairs on the heels of riding boots for the purpose of directing a horse while riding. The yoke and the shank are still in good condition but the revolving rowel is missing.
