(HMS) Blade of Wheat
The 10 gun Blade of Wheat was a french prize taken by the Dover on the 1st November 1689. She is listed as being a brûlot or fireship according to Winfield (2) her original name was La Fleur de Blé (The Flower of Wheat). She was purchased for service on the 29th November 1689, yet no record of her commissioning exists.
The vessel was lost in the same storm as the Henrietta, Centurion,and Dover Prize(1).
