Cannonball, Round Shot (13A65)
This 200mm, 8 inch diameter 72 lb cast iron shot was found concreted to the seabed on the Ramscliff cannon site. The shot is too large to have been associated with any of the guns found on the Ramscliff site and larger than the biggest usually found in the Sound, the 6 in diameter 32lb shot. It is thought that this shot has come from the artillery firing range above on Staddon Heights.
