Donating to The SHIPS Project and 1000 Tyres Project

The SHIPS Project is a non-profit organisation that relies on donations and funding to be able to claen up Plymouth Sound and expore its maritime history. Donations allow us to do everything that we do - operate boats, run public talks, publish books, undertake archaeological excavations, conserve historic objects. Even this website is funded by donations.

The SHIPS Project is a Community Interest Company (CIC), a special type of limited company which exists to benefit the community rather than private shareholders. The work of The SHIPS Project is undertaken by unpaid volunteers known as the 'SHIPS Crew' so donations are used for fieldwork not salaries.
