Remains of an unknown vessel or structure on the west bank of the River Yealm.
Unknown
Very little is known about this structure, but it may be some form of pontoon rather than a ship.
These structures were noted during archaeology work on a nearby stone quay which was part of the Thorn House estate. Very little appears to remain as they have been levelled to the mudline, but excavation may reveal more information. The structure is estimated to be 40m long.
By the fish pond on the west bank of the River Yealm.
It is not known if the beach where the hulk lies can be accessed as there are no public rights of way leading to the beach.
Nearby hulks include the August Smith , Vectis
and Yealm 2
